This class begins with slow, gentle movement warming up the joints and connecting deeply with the breath. The slow flow portion of the class will be almost entirely on the floor, seated or on your hands and knees. Some days, we may move from seated to standing. The use of props to support the body is highly encouraged.
Then we’ll move into Yin Yoga, a slow-paced, meditative practice where postures are held for extended periods (up to 10 minutes). This promotes flexibility, circulation, and mindfulness. Props are used to support your body and nearly every posture in this practice will be seated on the floor or lying on your back or prone, making it accessible for all levels.
